The Challenge:

Client requested a complex solution for a variety of issues. These included the connection of substations by designing and building Tower Structures. It also involved providing line-of-sight for the operation of gigabit microwave with an average path distance of 12 Miles. 

PCS was also brought on board to design the network for gigabit ethernet service at a high availability. Our team designed the tower structures to support additional loading for Public Safety and Fixed Wireless Access Services. PCS Technologies constructed 7 new towers (monopoles and self-support towers) and 9 microwave paths. 

Pre-Construction services included the flying of a drone to confirm line-of-sight for the radio paths. PCS Technologies engineered the Microwave using Ceragon IP-20C 11 GHz Microwave radios. Our team also provided structural engineering support and performed a self-support tower beef up and height extension of 20 feet.
